GemStone Systems’ Jags Ramnarayan, chief architect, will examine next-generation data management strategies to power grid deployments at the Platform Grid Conference 2006 in San Francisco.
During his session, Data Management Strategies for High Performance Grids, Ramnarayan will explore the use of a data fabric as a distributed data management platform that can pool memory and disk across a grid, maximizing grid deployments. He will demonstrate the ability of a data fabric to deliver high performance data access to/from external data repositories by exposing key database and messaging semantics such as querying, transactions, persistence, publish-subscribe and event routing semantics. Techniques for seamlessly integrating a data fabric with Platform's Grid scheduling engine and EGO platforms will also be discussed. |
