Press Release Michael Lazar Joins GemStone Systems as Solutions Architect for the Federal Government Industry Beaverton, Ore.- May 8, 2003 - GemStone Systems Inc., announced today that Michael Lazar has joined the company as Solutions Architect. Lazar will leverage his extensive knowledge of technology solutions and experience in the Federal Government industry to accelerate GemStone's growth in this vertical market. “GemStone’s focus on the Federal Government industry is further enhanced by the addition of Michael,” said Dan Ware, GemStone System’s Executive Vice President of Business Development. “Michael brings substantial experience in the Government industry, and his technology expertise will be of great value as the company builds its customer base.” Lazar brings to GemStone 19 years of technology experience that’s been primarily focused in the Federal Government sector. In 1984, he joined the NSA as a Computer Systems Analyst. He went onto work at BTG, Sybase and Commerce One, where he brought technology solutions to Federal Government, financial services, aerospace and telecommunications customers.
